Simon Fell outlines his plan to level up Barrow’s infrastructure

I’m honoured to be standing here as the Conservative candidate for Barrow and Furness. 

Now, I appreciate that many of you at conference may not know all that much about the Furness Peninsula, so bear with me while I give you a whistlestop tour.

Barrow in Furness announced as Historic High Streets Action Zone winner

Simon Fell, Conservative Candidate for Barrow and Furness, today praised the Government and Historic England for selecting Barrow and Furness as one of 69 historic towns which will share £95m to give high streets a new lease of life.

After years of having to ask Highways England to come and cut the grass verges along the A590 from the Trinity Church to the Beehive (now the Blue Light Hub and Retail Park site) we have managed to get a commitment from them to cut the grass on a regular basis at least 4 times a year.

Dalton North Councillor has 'bin' working hard

A Borough Councillor is helping to keep his ward clean. Cllr. Daniel Edwards (Dalton North) has been lobbying the Borough Council to empty the public waste bins around the villages of Askam and Ireleth after they where piling over with waste.
